In Memoriam: Lifetime Rumsonite, Writer, Cyclist, Adventurer, Doug Yorke Jr., 72

The world lost one of its most dedicated laughers with the passing of Douglas Arthur Yorke Jr. on April 11. He died peacefully surrounded by his beloved family while in the outstanding care of the trauma team at Jersey Shore Medical Center.” ~ Loved ones of Doug Yorke Jr. in his obituary

A lifetime Rumsonite, Doug was born to Joanne and Doug Yorke on Aug. 20, 1951 and grew up in Rumson, where he would later raise his three children.

Former longtime Rumsonite, Rumson Country Day School and Red Bank schools teacher, and mom, Eileen Mary Moran Rowett Brons, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 24, at the home of her son in Easton, Maryland. She was 90.
